Second Collection for St. Vincent de Paul
September 28th & 29th
In today’s Gospel Jesus called the Twelve, and said to them, “If anyone wishes to be first, he shall be the last of all and the servant of all.” Taking a child, he placed it in their midst, and putting his arms around it, he said to them, “Whoever receives one child such as this in my name, receives me; and whoever receives me, receives not me but the One who sent me.” Your gift to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul will help hungry children feel the arms of Jesus around them.
This week our St. Albert SVDP Conference ran out of funds that provide emergency assistance for rent or utility bills. This is an essential service we provide to families in our community facing financial hardship. Please consider donating to this important outreach of our parish.
