Grace Marriage is back! Last year was a huge success and this year, we have room for more couples ready to take time to invest in their marriage. You and your spouse will have one-on-one time to talk about the lessons and apply it to your own relationship.

Deadline to register is August 25th. Drop off checks made to St. Albert the Great in the parish office, or pay online at store.stalbert.org. Contact Mark and Erin Morris at Erin.ebelhar@gmail.com for questions or more information.

PREP CO-CATECHIST NEEDED
Do you want to help inspire young people to grow in the Catholic faith?  Do you want to help them connect faith with their everyday lives in a fun and engaging way?   Please prayerfully consider being a co-catechist for the 6/7th grade PREP program.  What a difference you will make in their lives if you say yes- and there will be another co-catechist with you along the way!  If interested, please contact Sr. Sarah Yungwirth at syungwirth@stalbert.org or 502-425-3940, ext. 109.

Children’s Liturgy of the Word

Do you enjoy sharing stories about Jesus with young disciples?  Do you recognize the joy in a young person when they hear how much Jesus loves them and wants them to share that love with others?  We are looking for additional leaders and assistants in our Children’s Liturgy of the Word program on Sundays during the 10:30am Mass.  If you are interested in learning more about how you can help with this program, please contact Sr. Sarah at syungwirth@stalbert.org or call 502-425-3940, ext. 109

SOCIAL CONCERNS

Loaves & Fishes

August 5th & 6th

The August food drive benefits Sr. Visitor, a Choice Pantry. The pantry is set up like a store, so that means the client is allowed to come and get the items that their family needs the most. Things that they always need are: jelly, pancake syrup, pancake mixes, BBQ sauces, sugar, Vienna Sausage Bites Spaghetti Os, dish detergent, instant coffee & creamer, laundry detergent, saltine crackers, bleach.

Cleaning supplies can not be purchased with SNAP benefits so that’s why they are so helpful. Paper towels & toilet paper are needed too!

Waterstep Shoe Collection

AUGUST 19th - SEPTEMBER 3RD

Our Social Concerns committee in conjunction with our Grade School and PREP Program are sponsoring a Gently Used Shoe Drive for Waterstep from August 19th-September 3rd. Waterstep uses the profits from selling these shoes to provide Water treatment facilities where desperately needed throughout the world. The shoes are resold to small companies who resell in poorer countries. Please deposit them in the boxes in the gathering space or give them to a child in our school or PREP class.
