WORSHIP

Adult Choir

“The choir enhances the beauty of the liturgy by contributing a musical dimension to the celebration that the congregation alone cannot achieve” (Sing to the Lord: Music in Catholic Worship, USCCB).

The new choir season is about to begin! Rehearsals are held every Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. The choir sings at the Sunday 10:30 a.m. beginning on September 6th. New members are always welcome.

For more information, contact Laura Sullivan, Director of Music and Worship at 425-3940 ext. 148 or lsullivan@stalbert.org.

EUCHARISTIC REVIVAL

Jesus Christ invites us to return to the source and summit of our faith in the celebration of the Eucharist. The National Eucharistic Revival is a movement to restore understanding and devotion to this great mystery by helping us renew our worship of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist.

Coming in September!

We are excited to announce a parish-wide, video-based study on formed.org called PRESENCE: THE MYSTERY OF THE EUCHARIST. With beautiful film-making, the PRESENCE explores the truth and beauty of Christ’s real presence in the Eucharist, from its origins in Sacred Scripture, to its profound role in the life of the Church and her members.

Over 4 weeks, watch the video at home and then join us at Mass for a homily about the video and experience the power of the Eucharist in a new way!

LIFELONG FORMATION & EDUCATION

RCIA Program Needs Help

Our next session of RCIA ( Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) is right around the corner. This season we will have the largest group of adults inquiring about our faith, that we have ever had at St. Albert. Very exciting times!, but the team needs some help and NO this is not about attending every weekly meeting from October thru March!

We are looking for folks who would help with organizing refreshments for parts of our meetings. We need some help in organizing two simple dinner meetings we have planned. We need some help in finding sponsors, with emphasis on active parishioners with school age children to match with similar inquirers. We need someone to coordinate service projects for the inquirers to be involved in.

Our goal is to immerse this group into Parish Life as soon as we can, and to get them involved in Parish Activities and Service Work.. You may not know it, but you and the entire Parish Community are part of the RCIA program as well. When we as a community of believers come together to celebrate the Eucharist and do good works, we represent the true meaning of RCIA. You set the example for them to follow.

Simply put... we need them... and they very much need us!

If you are moved to help in this ministry, please call Steve Teaford- 502-523-0153 or email at steve.teaford@gmail.com

Saint Vincent de Paul

Like Peter in today’s Gospel, we can find that when we open our eyes to see, our ears to hear and our hearts to experience Jesus’ presence in our daily lives, God reveals himself to us.

Have you considered answering the call to help serve the poor by joining the Society of St. Vincent de Paul?

Safe Envrinmoment Training

The Archdiocese of Louisville is committed to ensuring that children and youth who worship, study or participate in church-sponsored activities can do so in the safest and most secure setting possible. In an effort to fulfill this commitment, all employees or volunteers who have contact with children or youth (18 and under) for ANY length of time are required to participate in one of the 2-hour Safe Environment Training Workshops. No registration is necessary. Sign-in sheets will be available at the workshops.

If you have never attended an IN PERSON Safe Environment Training Session, you will need to do so.

9/6/23, 6:30 p.m., Holy Trinity, Church

9/18/23, 6:30 p.m., St. Patrick, Schindler Hall

The Archdiocese is now requiring a refresher course for anyone that has a certificate of completion over five years. If you have attended the in-person session (and we are able to verify your certificate), you may complete the online refresher course.  To take the online refresher course go to https://louisville.cmgconnect.org and create a new account.
