PARISH POST

January 5 - January 11, 2023

our mission: TO INSPIRE PEOPLE TO LOVE, SERVE, AND KNOW GOD AND ONE ANOTHER.

WORSHIP

Feast of the Epiphany

The word “epiphany” comes from the Greek epiphainen, a verb that means “to shine upon,” “to manifest,” or “to make known.” Thus, the feast of the Epiphany celebrates the many ways that Christ has made Himself known to the world, mainly the three events that manifested the mission and divinity of Christ: the visit of the Magi (Matthew 2:1-12), the baptism of Jesus (Mark 1:9-11), and the miracle at Cana (John 2:1-11).

Right to Life Signature Sunday

Right to Life of Louisville will once again sponsor a January memorial advertisement to commemorate the somber anniversary of Roe v Wade. Consider participating in this campaign by signing your name and making a modest donation (suggested $5 or more per submission). Names will be taken as a sign of support and included in a print advertisement. Extra funds may be used for other advertising channels. Signature sign-ups will be collected following all Masses the weekend of January 7th & 8th.

In addition, a Mass for the sanctity of all life will be celebrated by Archbishop Shelton J. Fabre on Jan. 14 at 6:30 p.m. The liturgy will be at St. Gabriel Church, 5505 Bardstown Road. A reception will follow Mass.

STEWARDSHIP

Prayer, Participation, Generosity

St. Albert serves the spiritual, physical and social needs of our members through many ministries... liturgy, sacramental preparation, bereavement, outreach to the elderly, poor or homeless, religious education, fish fry, summer picnic and many more...

We thank you for your generous support of the parish — through your prayers at Mass, volunteering with a ministry and making a regular contribution to the weekly collection. Keep doing what you’re doing!

As we head into the new year, we also ask you to consider taking on a leadership role and raising your contribution if you can do so, ensuring these worthwhile ministries can continue to serve our parishioners and those in need.

No gift to the Lord is too small. That’s true whether through volunteering your time or monetary giving!

THANK YOU & GOD BLESS OUR COMMUNITY!
