The 9:25 a.m. daily Mass on Thursday, February 16th will not have any students in attendance.  They are on Winter Break.

The 9:25 a.m. Mass on Thursday, February 23rd will not have any students in attendance since they will be going to Mass on Ash Wednesday.

Our Parish Goal: $134,600

Thanks to those who have already responded with a gift to the 2022 Catholic Services Appeal. To date we have raised $93,974, 70% of our goal. Please consider making a gift to the Catholic Services Appeal this season of Advent. Gifts may be made through our parish office or online visit www.ArchLou.org/CSA.

Your prayers and generous support of the Appeal are continuing to make a difference in the Archdiocese of Louisville and right here in our parish. The fund supports more than 100 ministries, services, and programs offered by the Archdiocese.

LIFELONG FORMATION & EDUCATION

Baptism 

Our next scheduled Baptisms are February 12 during the 10:30 am Mass and April 23 at Noon. If your child needs to be baptized, please contact Cindy McKinley cmckinley@stalbert.org

Confirmation

Confirmation Rehearsal with our 8th grade candidates AND their Sponsors will be held on Thursday, February 2 in Church at 7:00 pm. If the Sponsor is unable to attend, then a parent may come stand in their place! These young men and women will receive the Sacrament of Confirmation on Thursday, February 9, 2023 with Archbishop Fabre during the 7:00 pm Mass!


PREP 8th Grade Confirmation Class will host their Grandparents’ Day on Sunday, February 5th in Visitation Hall during PREP. Please remember to bring your craft supplies! The weekday School 8th Grade Confirmation Classes will host their Grandparents’ Day on Wednesday, February 8th by meeting their guests in the Church for 8:30 am Mass and then going to Visitation Hall for doughnuts and their craft crosses.

Youth Ministry Spring Retreat

The Archdiocese of Louisville is offering Spring Retreats for our High School Youth!

The High School Youth Retreat will be March 3-5 and the DEADLINE is Feb. 13th. 

Your cost is ONLY $50!  St. Albert will pay the balance!

National Catholic Youth Conference (NCYC)

Is coming to Indy this November 16-18th for those in 9-12 grades in the Fall of ‘23!!  The cost will be $170 if you register before March 31st!  (St. Albert will pay $300 toward your fee and CEF pays $100) NCYC is a powerfully unique 3-day experience of prayer, community (with thousands of teens!), service and empowerment for Catholic teenagers of high school age. NCYC is the premiere Catholic youth event on a national scale that gathers people from all across America for a life-changing encounter with Christ! Cathechism in a Year

SOCIAL CONCERNS

Red Cross Blood Drive

Sunday, February 5th 

8am - 12:30pm in the PLC

You have the power to save a life in your hands and “pay forward” your gratitude for good health! 

The Social Concerns Team and the St. Albert school children are sponsoring our quarterly Red Cross blood drive in the Parish Life Complex on Sunday 02-05-23 from 8am until 12:30pm. Appointments are recommended but not required. Social distancing will be encouraged and masks are optional.

Donors who register are also encouraged to fill out the “Rapid Pass” online within 24 hours of their donation to expedite the donation process.

Loaves & Fishes

Weekend of February 4th and 5th

The next collection will benefit the Schumann Center. Donations can be left in the Gather Space of church on or before the weekend of February 4th & 5th. They are in particular need of the following:

Food: peanut butter, jelly, spaghetti, spaghetti sauce, ramen noodles, peas, mixed vegetables, soup, mac & cheese, pork & beans

Toiletries: toilet paper, deodorant, feminine hygiene products, toothpaste, shampoo,

bar soap, shaving cream and razors. 

The Center is an outreach of St. Martin of Tours and assists needy adults and families with children by offering food, clothing and social service referrals.

Saint Vincent de Paul

In the Gospel this weekend, Jesus says, “You are the light of the world,” calling us to live our Christian vocation in words and deeds.

You are a “light” to those living in poverty and in a world of darkness by giving a donation to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. Thank You for you generous donations last Sunday!


PASTORAL CARE

NAMI Family Support Group

The group provides a safe space for family and friends of people with mental health conditions to discuss their loved ones mental health while receiving knowledge, encouragement and support. The next meeting is Sunday, February 26th (PLC). Please share with friends and family outside the parish. The group will not meet on February 12th. DivorceCare

DivorceCare is a weekly seminar/support group that helps divorced or separated people heal from the hurt. It provides a warm, caring, and confidential environment in which participants can learn practical information and gain hope for the future.
