The new choir season is about to begin! Rehearsals are held every Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. in the church beginning September 7th. The choir sings at the Sunday 10:30 a.m. Mass beginning September 11th. New members are always welcome.

Grace Marriage

September 17th, November 5th, February 4th, April 22nd

No marriage is perfect, but all marriages can grow. Grace Marriage is for all married couples. You and your spouse will have one-on-one time to talk about the lessons and apply it to your own relationship. There is no forced sharing, so you will never have to share anything that you don’t want to share. The cost is $200/couple for the entire year. Which breaks down to $50/session. Breakfast and coffee/drinks will be provided, as well as snacks during the day.

Contact Erin Morris at erin.ebelhar@gmail.com for more information. To register online go to Grace Marriage Registration and store.stalbert.org

Retrouvaille

Thinking about Separation or Divorce? Is your marriage or that of a relative or friend heading for divorce? Do you know how to save that marriage? Or do you feel helpless? Retrouvaille (pronounced retro-vi) has helped tens of thousands of couples at all stages of disillusionment or misery in their marriage. This program can help you too. It helps spouses uncover or re-awaken the love, trust, and commitment that originally brought them together. The program is highly successful in saving hurting marriages, even bringing reconciliation to couples who have already separated or divorced.

For confidential information about or to register for the program beginning with a weekend on September 16-18, 2022, call 502-479-3329; email: 3012@helpourmarriage.org; or go to helpourmarriage.org.

SOCIAL CONCERNS

Thank You for your Generosity

Thank You! On behalf of Social Concerns, thank you for taking the time on Sunday to donate blood with the American Red Cross!

Because of your donation, we were able to collect 30 pints of blood. Of course, the real winners are the patients in need of blood. As you know, each blood donation can help save up to three lives. Your donation is truly appreciated by the blood recipients and their loved ones.

There is a huge demand for blood and platelets right now. We hope to see you again at our next blood drive on Sunday, November 20th!

Waterstep Shoe Collection

August 27th-September 11th

Your Social Concerns committee in conjunction with our Grade School and PREP Program are sponsoring a Gently Used Shoe Drive for Waterstep from August 27th-September 11th. Waterstep uses the profits from selling these shoes to provide Water treatment facilities where desperately needed throughout the world. The shoes are resold to small companies who resell in poorer countries. Please deposit them in the boxes in the gathering space or give them to a child in our school or PREP class.

Razom for Ukraine

This weekend of August 20th-21st the Knights of Columbus will be accepting donations for US/Ukraine Flag Lapel Pins. All proceeds will support Ukraine Relief through “Razom for Ukraine” in partnership with Water With Blessings (local Louisville Charitable Organization). Any denomination is appreciated in this effort. The donations will be going to buy mini-filters, provided by Water With Blessings, to go in medical packs that are provided to the refugees inside Ukraine. They are in dire need of safe water; these filters will provide that for them.

Loaves and Fishes

September 3rd & 4th

The next Loaves and Fishes collection will benefit St. Ignatius Martyr Food Pantry. They are in particular need of hearty canned soup, Spaghetti O's, canned tuna, cereal, Ramen noodles, elbow macaroni, shelf Velveeta cheese and Vienna sausage or jerky.

Amen
