Come join us for Year 3 of Grace Marriage! After last year’s amazing response from the St. Albert community, we are excited to continue to grow this ministry. Last year, 27 couples (ranging from 3-47 years married) spent time investing in each other. Grace Marriage is an intentional, ongoing, small group approach to marriage enrichment where couples spend time every 90 days in conversation focusing on their relationship. Follow Me: Meeting Jesus in the Gospel of John invites you to experience the joy of a renewed friendship with Christ. PREP is the religious education program here at St. Albert for children in grades K-8 who do not attend St. Albert the Great School. It is a great opportunity for children to learn about their Catholic faith and grow in their relationship with God. PREP students in sacramental grades receive preparation as part of their PREP classes, along with some additional activities. Registration for PREP Academic year 2024-25 is now open.
Those who were in the PREP program last year are encouraged to turn in their registration forms for this year. We welcome and encourage new families to the PREP program!

In this weekend's Gospel, Jesus tells his disciples to “Come away by yourselves to a deserted place and rest a while.” Vincent de Paul, a great man of action was also a contemplative. His contemplation of God’s love overflowed into practical love for the poor.
During the 3rd Quarter 2023-24, through your gifts, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul was able to assist 174 families, providing $17,748.53 for utilities and rent. God Bless You!

Our Social Concerns committee in conjunction with our Grade School and PREP Program are sponsoring a Gently Used Shoe Drive for Waterstep from August 19th-September 3rd.
Waterstep uses the profits from selling these shoes to provide water treatment facilities where desperately needed throughout the world. Please deposit them in the boxes in the gathering space or give them to a child in our school or PREP class.

The group provides a safe space for family and friends of people with mental health conditions to discuss their loved ones mental health while receiving knowledge, encouragement and support. The group meets on the third Sunday of the month in the Parish Life Complex. The next meeting is Sunday, July 21st at 7:00pm. Please share with friends and family outside the parish. National Alliance on Mental Illness Louisville: Strengthening Families & Individuals Affected by Mental Illness.
The Elizabeth Ministry is an outreach ministry in which volunteers in the parish provide meals for a new mother/family to provide support and congratulations upon the arrival of their new baby. The St. Albert the Great Adult Choir is planning a trip to Ireland for July 17-29, 2025!
We will be joining forces with the adult choir from St. James Catholic Church in Louisville. This trip is open to anyone who would like to travel on this memorable adventure to see the sights and sounds of beautiful Ireland. Along with various sightseeing opportunities, the combined choir will have 3 performances including a Sunday Mass at Galway Cathedral. Brochures are available in the entryways of church. The Saint Louis Cemetery East Slope Project has obtained the military records of those buried in this section (where few markers exist), that may potentially be veterans and thus eligible for military markers. We have uploaded around 5,000 pages of handwritten documents to a crowdsourcing website which allows volunteers to help transcribe the documents. If you are interested in learning how to participate, there will be a session July 22 from 10:00 to 11:30 at the Catholic Enrichment Center 146 West Broadway. It is a great project for those who may not be very mobile but wish to participate in an interesting project. Computer and internet access is necessary, but "hunt and peck" typing is OK!
The Archdiocesan Family and Life Ministries Office is pleased to offer a comprehensive training event for those interested in ministering to the many incarcerated populations throughout the Archdiocese. The event will be held at the St. Albert the Great Parish Life Center at 1365 Girard Avenue, Louisville, KY on Saturday August 3 from 9:00 AM until 3:00 PM, with a working lunch provided.
