Save the Date! Healing Novena

Join us for a special 9–day Healing Novena to St. Thérèse of Lisieux, the “Little Flower.” Each day we will gather for Mass and prayer, seeking her intercession for healing of body, mind, heart, and soul. We invite you to bring flowers in honor of St. Thérèse and to write down your prayer intentions, which will be placed before the altar throughout the novena. Come and experience the gentle love of God through the prayers of St. Thérèse, who promised to spend her heaven doing good on earth.

Adult Choir New Season

“The choir enhances the beauty of the liturgy by contributing a musical dimension to the celebration that the congregation alone cannot achieve” (Sing to the Lord: Music in Catholic Worship, USCCB).

The new choir season is about to begin! Rehearsals are held every Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. in the church beginning September 3rd. The choir sings for most Sunday 10:30 a.m. Masses beginning September 7th.

Special Collection for Gaza

September 6th & 7th
On the weekend of September 6 & 7, our parish, together with the Archdiocese, will take up a special collection to support the innocent victims of violence in the war in Gaza.

Funds will benefit Catholic organizations working with local partnerships:

• Catholic Near East Welfare Association (CNEWA): providing emergency humanitarian relief, medical care, and psychological support for the sick, malnourished, and wounded.

• Catholic Relief Services (CRS): offering food, shelter, cash assistance, hygiene supplies, and care for people’s emotional well-being.

“Our Church mourns the terrible suffering of Christians and other innocent victims of violence in Gaza and surrounding areas who are struggling to survive, protect their children, and live with dignity in dire conditions,” said Archbishop Broglio. “The Holy Father continues to call for a cease fire and for aid to enter the territory, noting with great sorrow that ‘Gaza is starving.’”

Anniversary Mass with Archbishop Shelton

All married couples are invited to be part of a special Anniversary Mass on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at 10:00 AM at St. Michael the Archangel Church, 3705 Stone Lakes Drive.

Whether you plan to attend in person or not, we encourage all couples celebrating an anniversary to register and be recognized. Couples married 50 years or more who attend will receive their certificate of recognition personally from Archbishop Shelton.

To participate, please submit your names, mailing address, and number of years married to the St. Albert parish office by Wednesday, September 3rd. Let us honor the gift of your marriage!

Children’s Liturgy of the Word – Leaders Needed

We have many children who love to attend Children’s Liturgy of the Word at our weekend Masses, but we need your help! Lessons and materials are provided—just bring your love for sharing God’s Word with children. Without volunteers, we cannot continue this program. Nursery During Sunday 10:30am Mass

We are back and in a new location! Nursery care for infants–4 years is available during the Sunday 10:30am Mass, located in classroom 1A in the primary school wing. Our staff is ready to care for your little ones while you enjoy Mass!

New OCIA Group Forming

Thursday evenings at 7pm beginning September 4th 

OCIA (Order of Christian Initiation for Adults) is a program for adults who wish to become Catholic or are missing sacraments. We offer an opportunity to come together in a small group to learn more about the Catholic faith. Sessions focus on the scriptures, teachings and experience of the Church and prepare individuals to celebrate the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist during the Easter season. You're Invited: Grief Support Group

A 10-week grief support group will meet Mondays from October 20 through December 2025, from 12:30–2:00 p.m. at St. Albert the Great. Led by Lisa Ratterman and based on Alan Wolfelt’s book Understanding Your Grief, the group will provide guidance and support for those who have lost a loved one, helping participants honor their grief and discover new hope. St. Vincent de Paul Society Collection

Next weekend, we will take up a special collection for our parish chapter of the St. Vincent de Paul Society. Your generous donations help provide critical assistance with rent and utilities for struggling seniors, and families right here in our community. Safe Environment Training Dates

Back to school trainings are underway!  These very important training sessions are designed to promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all—this training, along with an Archdiocese of Louisville-issued background check, is mandatory for anyone working with children. Even if you think you will be working with children in the future, but are unsure, you’re strongly encouraged to take advantage of these upcoming sessions.

All trainings begin promptly at 6:30pm (unless otherwise noted) and children under 16 will not be admitted given the content discussion.
