Mega Bonus Lotto

It's a super bonus Monday on Monday 13th February as the Tallow GAA Lotto hits the magical €20000 mark. For a modest €2 ticket you have the chance of getting your hands on a substantial pot of money. With a limit being set on the size of the jackpot by the terms of the lottery permit the entire pot of €20000 has to be given away next Monday. Excitement has been building in the town as the jackpot inches its way through the nineteen-thousands into a round crisp figure.

The jackpot draw will take place as usual on Monday night and if there is no winner it will be drawn again (up to a maximum of five times) to get a lucky someone that elusive jackpot. If, at the end of the five draws, someone's numbers still don't come up, Timmy and co will then proceed to draw ten names who will win €2000 each. So even if you don't manage to match your four numbers in the jackpot draw your initial investment of €2 has ten chances of being upgraded a thousandfold and you don't need to be a student of the turf to recognise that the odds are in your favour in this wager.

So what better way to beat the reccession than to grab yourself a share or the whole lot of this bounty. Tell your friends, enemies and your enemies' friends to buy up all ticket supplies as soon as they can. Tickets available from all shops and pubs in Tallow and from your local and regular vendors.

Senior Hurling

Senior and Junior hurling training is now in full swing on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7pm and Saturday usually at 3pm (players will have this confirmed each week by grouptext and email). Memories of sunny September championship days are well faded as the dim amber halflight of winter training takes over. Like the Kerryman who went into the late Dr Jim Brosnan's surgery in Dingle with two forms to be signed (one for an eyesight certificate for a driving licence, the other for the blind pension) we have to continue our two-pronged approach this year of bringing young players through while remaining competitive in the latter stages of the senior championship. Championship will start at the beginning of May and it won't be long coming around.
