Senior Hurling

After a what seems like a long weekend of a break (two months instead of the usual three) the senior hurling championship resumes again with Tallow facing Ballygunner. The Gunners have won all three of their matches so far by double digit margins and a look at any Waterford senior panel over the last few years will show the quality they have. While the era of Flynn, Frampton and Hartley may have passed, continued underage success has meant that a new generation has kept them at the top of the senior hurling tree.

Naturally Ballygunner will be favourites but we have always matched their hurling style and will be hopeful of a big performance. Throw-in at Fraher Field is at 6:30 on Saturday evening and we would appreciate all support.

Junior Hurling

On Friday night Tallow juniors play their next group game in Tallow against Fourmilewater at 7pm. We have won three out of four of our games so far and another win would get us closer to making a Western final. Over the last three or four years there has never been more than a puck of the ball between Fourmile and ourselves and we expect another close battle.
