Senior Hurling League Final : Tallow 2-15 Ballygunner 2-22

I missed the opening ten minutes of this game and Ballygunner had a four point lead. They were spraying the ball around and had us under pressure. Mark Stewart got a good point from the bank side that I presumed would propel us into action but in reality it didn't as we only played in dribs and drabs. We trailed by eight points at the break. The second half started badly with a soft goal conceded. We had to respond or the game would be well out of sight. Tommy got a ball about forty yards to the left of the goals and floated a long diagonal into Ryan. The ball broke thirteen metres just right of the posts . Ryan was in a race with the onrushing Stephen O'Keefe and his marker. His ground stroke not fully connected with seem to take an eternity to cross the line but it did and brought the game somewhat to life. Ryan got another major a few minutes later to open up the tie. It seemed to be as close as we could get to our city opponents as we never got within arms reach of surpassing them on the scoreboard. They closed out the game to win by seven points

Waterford: Two spectacular wins in consecutive weeks has lead Waterford to the All Ireland Semi Final against the All Ireland champions. If there is one thing that Liam Cahill gets from the team it is their desire to give everything for the cause and to go for goal when it is on. A lot of things will have to go right on Saturday for us to win but stranger things have happened.
