Birthday Greetings: We would like to wish Dinny Tobin a happy birthday who celebrated his during the week and a belated happy birthday to Brian Henley who celebrated the half century.

Bunting: Great to see the town awash with colour . From the Ned Power statue to the hurling field it has added a sprinkle of colour in these gloomy times. If a few houses could fire up a few flags it would enhance it further. Thanks should be given to the fire brigade, Dinny Tobin, Tom and Ter McSweeney, Lar O'Hara, Tom Doyle and Johnny Geary .

Blue and White Day: To celebrate Waterford's appearance in the All Ireland Hurling final next Sunday we are having a blue and white morning for the academy at the field .. We are asking for all children to wear either blue or white for training so we can have a bit of fun and hopefully cheer on Waterford to a historic win.

All Ireland Final: Sixty years plus since our last victory. Three defeats since . A team reborn under a new manager. Winners must leave the cup in Croke Park after. No homecomings.

Imagine dreaming of glory that once was ours but seems so long in the past.

Imagine two years of deflation that once was elation and wondering how long it would last?

Imagine our midfielders contorting and weaving their bodies and break with the ball still in their hands,

Imagine the echo of silence where once was eruption billowing in from the stands.

Imagine the whistle being blown with victory assured and people at home in a trance,

Imagine delirium, excitement , hollering and roaring as the Deise made their last dance,

Imagine......
