Think Your Drink

Part I Data Gathering

1. Open an Excel spreadsheet and Save it as Think Your Drink.Think Your Drink. Create the table as shown below.

You will need to select B1 to L1. In the Home tab under alignment, click the icon that will let you to change the text direction.

2. Review the Drink information On Haiku to or in the 7th Grade Activity Backpack You will use the information you find on this poster to complete an excel table.

3. Enter the information from the poster into your spreadsheet. Do not enter the %, g or mg signs. ONLY enter the numbers. If the information is NA then enter 0.

4. Using the arrow next to the autosum (∑) button, calculate the maximum, minimum and sum for each of the drinks and for each of the categories as indicated on your spreadsheet. When calculating the Minimum and Total, make sure you select the drink information and not the Maximum and Minimum. Only B-I.

5. Create a graph that demonstrates the calories in each of the graphs.

Select cells A1:I1 – hold down the control key and select cells A3:I3.

Be sure you are on the Insert Ribbon Tab. Select Columns.

6. Move the graph to a new sheet.

7. Click add elements and add Axis Titles. Make the Horizontal Axis title Drink. Make the Vertical Axis title a Rotated Title and label it Calories per Serving.

8. Click on Sheet 1. Select cells A1:I1 – hold down the control key and select cells A4:I10.

9. Insert a line graph. From the Insert Ribbon Tab, click on Line. Move the graph to a new sheet.

10. Add a chart title and go to chart elements. Add Axis labels. Make the Horizontal Axis title Drink and vertical Axis Daily Nutritional Values.

11. Save your work as Think Your Drink Title Page.if you haven't yet.

Conclusions Part II

1. Open Word. Change the font size to 14 pt. and you may use any readable font. Type Your name, hit enter type Excel Activity 06 Conclusiongs and hit enter twice.

2. Click on the Numbering button.

3. Using the table and the graphs you created from Excel Activity 06, write 5 facts. They must be in complete sentences.

Save your work as Think Your Drink Conclusion.

Title Page Part III

1. Open Word. Think Your Drink Title Page.

2. Using WordArt and a graphic, create a title page.

You must include your first and last name, your class period, your teacher’s name, and the date you completed this assignment.

Save your work as Think Your Drink Title Page.

Turning in your Project

Your project must be handed into Haiku. Be sure to have the following:

Word Document: Think Your Drink Title Page.

Excel Sheet: Think Your Drink

Word Document: Think Your Drink conclusion.

Activity is worth 100 points.
