History of Silent Film
A silent film is a film with no synchronized recorded sound (and in particular, no audible dialogue). A silent film would convey narrative and emotion visually, various plot elements (such as a setting or era) or key lines of dialogue may, when necessary, be conveyed by the use of title cards.
Silent Film Movie Magic
Much of the movie magic of the early silent film is still used today. Painting scenery on glass and using it to composite multiple images together. Others using post production to blend multiple components together.
Buster Keaton
Joseph Frank Keaton known as Buster Keaton. He was an American actor, comedian, film director, producer, screenwriter, and stunt performer. He is best known for his silent films, in which his physical comedy along with a consistently stoic, deadpan expression that earned him the nickname "The Great Stone Face".
