Directions:

1. Open Microsoft Excel 2013

2. In the blank spreadsheet file enter the text that appears below.

3. Replace the example in the Cell A2 with your name.

4. Save the File as “Activity 1 and 2” to your documents folder.

5. Enter the text in the cells as shown below. You will need to drag column A over so everything fits.

Challenge:

6. Change the Cells B4, C4, D4, E4, and F4 to Red Color background with White Font. Just like in Microsoft Word, you are changing the font color.

7. Change Rows 6, 8 and 10 to Grey background. (stop at Column G)

The Paint bucket is fill color for the cell. The A is the color of the text. Just like in MS Word.

8. Select F5 and find the auto sum tool in the home tab and click the drop down menu from it. Choose average and make sure the numbers you want the computer to average are selected. Hit enter.

9. Choose average and make sure the numbers you want the computer to average are selected. Hit enter.

10. Do the same with all the other subjects. Make sure the computer is selecting the right numbers.

11. Save as Activity 1 and 2 and turn in to Edmodo.
