What are the advantages of posters and flyers

Posters and flyers can be displayed almost anywhere. However, places, where you have a "captive audience", are the best:

              • School classrooms (particularly when you're targeting younger children)

              • Examination and waiting rooms at dental and medical clinics

              • Buses or other public transit

              • Community service organization offices

              • Community bulletin boards in markets and laundromats

              • Windows of downtown businesses

              • Anyplace where people will be standing in line

Vocabulary:

Clip Art: Simple pictures and symbols made available for computer users to add to their documents. These images are free from copyright and can be used freely.

Copyrighted Images: Images you don't own or didn't create your self. When making flyers, you need to make sure you have permission to use any logo, name, and an image you print on the flyers.

Activity: Create a flyer with the information below listed as its shown. You the creator need to make a flyer using the text and make it creative and fun. Use clip art from the insert tab. Change the color of the text and background but make sure you can still read the flyer. Remember flyers might have to be black and white so keep colors in mind.

Flyer Text:

Our class will be competing in a Field Day on Wednesday, June 17, at 8:30 AM on the school playground. The class voted to wear red t-shirts and black shorts as our class uniform. Please have your child wear shoes appropriate for running races. We enjoy the competition, so come to watch our class compete and cheer us on to victory!
