Review with your teacher the CHAMPS Acronym. An acronym is a word that spells out a saying to help you remember something. Champs go is our acronym for what teacher instructional time looks like.

C: Conversation, Volume is a level 0 and we talk one at a time during teacher instructional time. H: Need Help? Or have a question? Raise your hand and wait silently for your turn to talk. A: Activity, If you are confident that you understand what your teacher is reviewing, respect other people’s learning and work silently. Your teacher shouldn’t have to repeat themselves.M: Movement, there is no movement during this time. You can’t get up. Until the teacher says so. Then it's project time.P: Participation, Participate, you are participating in the class activity. You are also contributing to your group’s success if you are in a group.S: Success, When you follow these reminders, you are setting you and your classmates up for success. Now that we reviewed what CHAMPS is all about, let’s create the images that your teacher will put up next to each letter. Your class will vote on the best one for each letter, then vote across other classes. The best ones will be printed in color and posted next to the letter. If you choose to make it by hand, it’s up to you to bring your own, non-paint, materials to class. Your final project will be landscape orientation and 8 ½ by 11 sizes. In your Innovative Technology Folder of your D300 Google Drive is a document called CHAMPS Letter Picture.
