Open in PIXLR E
Use this link to go to the Students Files folder and make yourself a copy of Color Replacement.
Locate OPEN IMAGE and select Full HD and click Apply
Rename the image layer "original" and create 2 additional copies. Right Click the Layer and locate the duplicate icon. Make two copies and name the top Color Change, the next one Color and the bottom one Original. You can rename them when you right mouse click the layers.
When you right mouse click the layer, also click the Locked Icon. This will prevent you from making unwanted changes to that layer.
To change your Color Change Layer to a different color, go to Adjustments and select Hue and Saturation again. As we slide the Hue from side to side, notice what is happening to the color of the image and the dress. We are changing the wavelengths of light. Red, Green, and Blue are the main colors of light, and changing the wavelengths alter the mixture of the intensity of each color and affects the final color. Click apply when the dress is a color you like. Don't worry about the color of the rest of the image.
Just like in Black and White Color, we are going to create a Maks on the layer that has the dress of a different color. Make sure the scissors icon is present in the Color Change Layer.
Now paint the color change mask over the dress and notice the dress is being painted as the color you chose. Carefully paint the dress and shoes so they are not read.
Save your project as a PNG and download it to your Innovative Tech Folder. and Hand it in.
When you are done, see if you can change the color of her headdress.
Her dress can be tricky given its transparent against the building.
