Lesson 05 Missing Tooth
Open in PIXLR E
Use this link to go to the Students Files folder and make yourself a copy of Missing Tooth.
Open from the computer the Missing tooth image.
Use Laso or Marquee Select to select the area around the tooth.
You are now going to copy and paste. Ctrl C will copy what you have selected. Ctrl V will paste what you have copied into a new layer. Lable that layer as Tooth
Lable your layers as the Main image and tooth.
Turn off the main picture layer so I can see just the tooth in its layer.
Erase the gum area around the tooth.
Our Teeth are not side-by-side copies. They mirror one another. Go to Edit and Transform. Choose the option that flips the tooth Horizontally.
Now, turn on the bottom layers and reposition the tooth to fill the gap with the arrange tool. You may want to erase sections around the tooth to have it better fit.
The glare on the tooth from the light against the enamel now looks off. Notice the glare line from the light is going the wrong way.
Select your Tooth layer and make another Marquee Selection around the vertical enamel line on the tooth you are replacing. Copy it and paste it into a new layer. Rename that layer as enamel.
Erase what you need from the tooth section and use the arrange tool to reposition the enamel over the new tooth.
