When I was young, we played a great classic game called Battleship! You have five ships and are able to hide them from your opponent on a grid that represented the ocean. Your opponent did the same thing facing opposite you on their game board. The grid was numbered and lettered and you called out positions "A1!" "MISS!" "B5!" "HIT!" guessing the positions of your opponent's ships. Hits are marked in red and missed in white. Taking turns you try to sink all five of your opponent's battleships before they sink yours! It's a lot of fun. Especially on a "HIT!" when you could boldly produce an explosion sound! PWCHOOOOSHHHWWW!!! Later on, my brothers got "Electronic Battleship" which was complete with lights and built-in explosion sounds. Cool!Vocabulary Words
