Use this link to go to the Students Files folder and make yourself a copy of pick the Liquify Vampire image.
Save a copy of the class image as Liquify to your picture folder.
Open Image your Liquify Vampire.
Use one of the Marque selection tools to select the area with the top row of the subject's teeth.
Just like in Missing Tooth, you will use Ctrl C and Ctrl V to copy and paste into a new layer
Use the Eraser tool to erase all but the canine teeth. Turn off the bottom layer so you can see what you are erasing.
Turn on the bottom layer and with it selected, use the arrange tool to put the Teeth in the correct position.
Select the top layer and locate the Liquify Tool. It has three squiggly lines.
Let us go over the Method from left to right.
Push: Pushes the pixels towards where you are dragging the tool.
Enlarge: Click the tool and the pixels at the center of the tool will expand out. The Strength Percentage controls the speed.
Shrink: Slowly pulls "sucks" to the center, the pixels within your tool.
Twirl: Slowly rotates clockwise the pixels within your tool.
The Liquify tool has different options. Les explore what they do. Make sure you move your mouse over each tool and evaluate what it will do. The icon's picture should give you an indication of what the tool will do.
Notice that you can adjust the rate of each change. You might want to double the rate of change to better see what you are doing by changing the Strength. Remember, if the change is too quick it will pull all the pixels and you will end up seeing the background.
Your Hand In Project: Go to the layer that has your Vampire Teeth and use one of the tools to stretch her two teeth so that your subject is a vampire. Hand in both your final PSD file and an exported PNG file to the Haiku Page.
