Presidential spreadsheet project

Activity: For this project, you will create a spreadsheet with information about the presidents of our country. Use the Internet to discover each president’s number of their presidency, full name, political party, state of birth, and one interesting fact about him.

1. Open Microsoft Excel.

2. In cell A1 type - the number of his presidency, in cell B1 type – Name, in cell C1 type – Political party, in cell D1 type – State of birth, in cell E1 type –one interesting fact about him. Resize cells so that information fits.

3. Open Internet Explorer or Chrome. Search for information 22 of the 44 men who have been the President of the United States. Be sure to check several reliable websites. You can flip back and forth between your sites and the spreadsheet. DO NOT copy and paste the information it will look messed up. Resize cells so that information fits.

4. Once all of your information is entered sort column A so that the presidents are listed in numerical order. Highlight column A. From the Home tab go to Sort and Filter. Sort smallest to largest.

5. Insert a header with the title – Presidential information – then your name.

6. Save as Activity 4 and submit to Edmodo.
