  • 6th Graders will use Audacity to record themselves reading Angel Child Dragon Child as well as a podcast later in the quarter. Here are the basics. Save your project as Name the project the person you are doing your podcast on or Angel Child Dragon Child.

  • Tracks are created when you hit record.

  • Make sure you click at the end of your recording when you want to make an addition. The new track will be created and the recording will begin where you clicked the mouse.

When you record your voice, make sure you have the microphone set to mono input. That way you have one waveform to edit and not two. Just as in word processing, you can highlight a piece of audio and copy, paste, or delete.Save often and don’t forget you can undo or redo.Have fun with some of the effects but remember to Keep it Professional.

Make sure everyone’s volume sounds the same.

When you are done. Under File, you can Export your work to an MP3 file.

When you're exporting your audio for the Angel Child Dragon Child, highlight what your exporting and under file, you can Export Selection.
