Water on Planet Earth

1. Open Microsoft Excel

2. Save as Water on Earth (NOTE: Save periodically as you work through this assignment.)

3. Enter the information shown in the table. Be sure to make columns A and B wider so all the information is displayed.

4. Select cells A1:B1. Make them Bold and Center aligned. NOTE: You may need to make the columns wider so all the data is shown.

5. Select cells A2:B4 and change to center alignment.

6. Select cells B2:B4. Make sure you are at the Home Ribbon Tab. In the Number tab section, click on the % symbol.

7. Click on the Page Layout Ribbon Tab. Click on the arrow for the Page Setup tab for more options . Click on Header/Footer and Click on Customer Footer. In the Center Section enter your last name, hit enter, then type Water on Planet Earth. Click OK 2 times.

8. Select cells A1:B4. Click on the Insert Ribbon Tab and Click on the Pie Graph and select the first choice choice in the first row. Move the graph below your table. Do NOT change the size of the graph.

9. Click on the Chart Title, Change it to The Earth’s Surface by typing over the title it already has.

10. Click on the + symbol next to your chart. Use it to add labels

11. Click in Cell A23 and enter the information as shown in the table. This should be just below your Earth Surface chart provided you didn't change its size.

12. Be sure the cells are wide enough to hold the information.

13. Select cells A23:B23 and make them centered and bold. Then select cells A24:B27 and make them centered.

14. Select cells B24:B27 and click on the drop down for the Number tab. Change to percentage and then make the decimal places 1 place.

15. Select cells A23:B27. Click on the Insert Ribbon Tab and Click on Pie graph like you did the previous grade.

16. Move the graph below your table. Do NOT change the size of the graph.

17. Click on the Chart Title and Change it to Water on Earth by typing over the title it already has.

18. With the chart still selected, go to quick layout options. make sure you select option 1.

19. Click on each of the percentages (the ones that currently overlap and move them apart.

20. Save your work and hand it into Haiku
