Phase 4: You and your partner will read your script and record using Audacity. We have a Brain Pop Video to help understand how music is recorded.

Here is your Rubric for Podcasting

You will be using Audacity to record your podcast on a famous person. Make sure you have a script and that everyone in your group is recorded equally.

  • Open Audacity from your start menu.

  • Save your project asName the project the person you are doing your podcast on.

  • Go to the Tracks bar, move the mouse to Add New

    • Audio Track: Makes a track you can record on.

    • Stereo Track: Makes a dual track you can record on.

    • Label Track: Makes where you can create labels.

    • Time Track: Makes a track that keeps track of time.

  • You should only need to create 1 track for each group member and 1 for music or sound effects.

  • When you record your voice, make sure you have the microphone set to mono input.

  • Just as in word processing, you can highlight a piece of audio and copy, paste, or delete.

  • Save often and don’t remember you can undo or redo

  • Have fun with some of the effects but remember to Keep it Professional.

  • Use the sample track to help organize your work.

  • Make sure everyone’s volume sounds the same.

  • When you are done. Under File, you can Export your work to an MP3

  • Import Music:

    • In the Lab share folder, you will find Podcast music. Drag the song you want into, to the track you want or under File bar and move the mouse over Import and click. Find the song.
