Lucy rang this afternoon, very excited about all the new things she’s been learning about Islam – and about the South Asian community in East Lancashire. Peter was less effusive, when she handed the phone over to him, but I got the impression that even he was interested – if only in the food. He certainly seemed to be getting on very well with Ibrahim’s mother and aunts – I don’t think they’ve ever come across a man who took such interest in cooking. He’s collected some authentic recipes, so we can look forward to a few new dishes for tea in the next few weeks!
