Maybe football is coming home (after last night’s missed-then-knocked-back-in penalty win for England in extra time) but we’re more interested in the fact that Lucy will be coming home on Saturday. We’re still a bit nervous about her using the train – especially after the announcement that compulsory mask-wearing on public transport will end on 19th July, which will no doubt encourage the anti-maskers to try it on (or rather take it off!) right away. So, I’m driving up to Liverpool to collect her. It will be a chance to catch up with Joey and the rest of the Fazakerley clan, which will be nice … but it won’t be the same without Aunty Dot being there.
