Good news from Eddie today! He and Crystal have found a house that they can afford to buy, so that they can move out of their high-rise flat. It’s a mid-terraced ex-council house, which will need quite a bit of work doing on it, but it does have two decent-sized bedrooms and. most importantly, a little garden. Also importantly, it’s within walking distance of the John Radcliffe, so Crystal won’t need to get the bus to work. It’s also pretty close to us, so Peter can still provide childcare for them quite easily too.
Now they just need to sell their flat …
Oh! And (as if you didn’t already know!) England lost in a penalty shoot-out after Italy equalised in the match last night. After the appalling behaviour of some England fans during the Italian national anthem (even after the fine that England got for booing the Danish anthem at the semi-final!), I can’t feel particularly sorry. We’d have been completely insufferable if we’d won. Sad, isn’t it? I though being English was all about “playing the game”.
