We’ve had the two remaining musketeers at the police station for interview under caution. They say Jane died of natural causes and all they did was to hide her body. After all this time, I can’t see us proving otherwise. They’re both respectable chaps with money enough for fancy lawyers. It’s hardly worth even prosecuting them for preventing a lawful and decent burial. – which is probably the conclusion that the CPS will come to when they read Jonah’s submission to them. He’s set Andy Lepage typing it all up while he contacts Jane’s family to let them know.
You’ll never guess how the cuff-link got to be in amongst the dead woman’s bones. But I won’t tell you. You’ll no doubt be able to read about it in the papers later, when the news gets out.
