Sunday, and grandma insisted that Dad and I must go to church, although it meant leaving her on her own for more than an hour. She seems to think that the family ought to be represented and, since she isn't up to it any more, that means me and Dad. The vicar promised to call on her, which I suppose probably makes our efforts worthwhile, but I'm still not sure why it matters whether we go or not.
