It’s Hannah’s birthday tomorrow. She couldn’t have a big “do” for her 40th, which was last year, because of COVID cases rising again and not wanting to do anything to make things worse before winter – not that it did much to stop the November lockdown and a disastrous Christmas. So, Laurence is organising a hybrid in-person and online “This is you Life” style party for her. Peter is going up to Leeds today and staying overnight in a hotel, so that he can spring out on her unexpectedly with a present and some stories of what she was like when she was little. I hope she enjoys it all. Personally, the idea of a surprise party makes me shudder!
