So, the law is to be changed to make it mandatory that anyone who kills a police officer while committing a crime will get a life sentence, even if it was manslaughter rather than murder. I wonder how Gavin and Chrissie will feel about this. Of course, Kenny’s killer did get a life sentence, but only because he was implicated in killing Harry Whittle too, and that was murder.
