My best present ever

This is a picture of the best birthday present I've ever had, It's the inside of the card that Jonah gave to me on my 10th birthday. The reason why it's so special is because that was my first birthday after he was shot in the neck and paralysed. Now he can only move his head and neck, and his shoulders a bit, and three fingers on his left hand - like he says, it's very lucky that he's left-handed!

That makes writing (except using a special computer keyboard or voice-recognition software) really difficult for him. It took him ages to learn how to write at all with just three fingers. This was the very first piece of his writing that I saw after his injury. The nurses at the hospital told me that he practised for weeks to get it right.

Peter says it's better than his writing used to be before he was shot!

I'm just proud that I was the first person he wrote something for.
