Our neighbours on the other side turn out to be a retired vicar and his wife. They called round this morning with a leaflet about the English-language service for ex-pats and tourists, which they hold in one of the local catholic churches.
We’ve also met the people from the apartments above ours in this block. There’s a couple (proudly unmarried!) with a tiny tot, and two army families. The fathers are brothers: Owen and Mark Price. The youngest little Price has taken a shine to Jonah. I think she likes having an adult who stays put in a chair and has time to read to her. Her father and uncle are both energetic types and her mother has her hands full with her older siblings – especially the little boy who seems a real livewire. The picture is one that Lucy took when she went down to the beach with the students.
