We’re all set for our trip to Liverpool. The plan had been for us to travel up on the train after work, but the disruption to rail services caused by routine maintenance that means that there are rail-replacement busses (is is busses or buses?) from Oxford to Leamington Spa has made us change our minds. Martin has volunteered to drive us to Milton Keynes to pick up the London train, which gets to Liverpool in just over 2 hours. Jonah is taking a few hours off work, so that I can be sure of getting away on time and we’re hopeful of being there before eight in the evening – fingers crossed!
