Peter took Ricky to Legoland today. He’s been trying to give Crystal a rest from looking after him now that the new baby could arrive any day. She’s been a bit reluctant. I think she feels that it’s all very well Peter looking after Ricky while she’s at work, but now that she’s off on maternity leave, she ought to be able to manage. Actually, Peter rather misses having Ricky to play with and is looking forward to when Crystal goes back to work again. She can’t afford to make more than a bare six weeks of maternity leave because she hasn’t been in her job for long enough to qualify for more than just the statutory maternity pay and they need her salary to pay the mortgage.
