Eddie and Crystal moved into their new flat today. Peter tried to dissuade them from moving until after the baby’s born, but they were adamant that they wanted their own place. Peter is also not exactly chuffed with the place they’ve found, but with house prices the way they are in Oxford, they can’t afford anything better. It’s an 8th-floor flat in an ex-council tower block. The good thing is that it’s in Headington, so handy both for us to visit (and for them to come to us) and for Crystal to get to work at the hospital. It’s very close indeed to the Churchill and there’s even been talk that she may be able to transfer to there when she comes back from maternity leave. So things are looking up for them at last – even if the accommodation isn’t quite ideal.
