Lucy's 19th birthday is certainly not turning out how we'd expected! We'd planned to spend the day with her, sight-seeing or even just chatting; but she insisted on going to lectures, because she now needs to take notes, not just for herself, but also for Mariam, who is still in hospital. So we spent the morning with Sandra Latham and her team learning more about the investigation. They've got some forensic evidence, but so far nothing that leads to the attacker. anyway, I've got to go now, because we'er all going over to Whiston in a minute to visit Mariam. Lucy's taking her some of her birthday cake and we're all keen to see how she's getting on - especially Dominic. I'm starting to wonder whether there's something more going on between that boy and Ibrahim's little sister!
