Liverpool won in a nail-biting Derby game, which went right up to the 96th minute before either team scored. It must have been very tense in Lucy's house, what with cousin Dominic being a staunch Everton supporter, like his dad (and mine, come to that!). A 1-nil win keeps Liverpool in second place in the table, just two points behind Manchester City. Everton are 6th, ahead of Manchester United on goal difference, which isn't too bad - but the gap between them and Spurs at #5 is a whopping 8 points, so I can't honestly see Everton making it into the top 4 by the end of the season. Newcastle (our other team of interest, since it's Stan's home team) is out of the relegation zone, but that's about all you can say for them. Never mind, eh?
