It's been a long time since I got round to posting on the blog. I've been concentrating on adding a few more entries from Richard's diary. You can see them here.
However, it does seem worth noting today that Lucy has been invited for interview at Lichfield College, Oxford. That's another step on her way to getting accepted on to a Medical degree programme. She chose Lichfield because one of the tutors there is a pathologist, which is what she wants to specialise in. I was a bit dubious, because that's Martin's college and it isn't necessarily a good idea to go somewhere where you know one of the staff personally; but her argument does make sense.
The interviews are 11th - 12th December. Lucy wanted to stay at home and go in daily, but I persuaded her to stay in college overnight so that she would be treated the same as everyone else. She's also promised to live in in the first year. I'm afraid that, if she stays living at home, she won't get to know her peers and will miss out on student life.
