We had an interesting day out in Evesham today. I can't believe that I've lived in Oxford for over forty years and have never been there before! In the morning, jonah did his bit of subterfuge with the solicitors, while I sat in the outer office chatting to the receptionist and Peter did the rounds of the neighbourng businesses trying to find out more about Wellesley, Bracknell and Wellesley. There's only one Wellesley in the firm now - or rather there was only one, with Christopher dead, his partner Anthony Bracknell becomes the sole owner of the company. I wonder if that could possibly be a motive for doing away with him?
We had a fish and chip lunch down by the river and then called on Vanessa and her parents again. They didnt have much to tell us - except for one strange thing. Apparently a coat of hers was hanging up by the front door the day her husband was killed, adn it had vanished later that day when they went back to collect some clothes for her and Leah for while they were staying at ther parents' house. Personally, I think it's probably just been misplaced somewhere inside the house, but Jonah seems to think it may be significant. We'll just have to wait and see.
