Life was a little easier today, with Eddie officially not working and so able to look after the kids. That meant that Jonah could have the run of the house (well, the downstairs rooms, as usual) and Stan was able to come over for a longer period to care for his birds.
We had a Skype conversation with Lucy this afternoon. She and Mariam seem to be coping with online learning fairly well. It makes me wonder if they might as well come home, if all their lectures and tutorials are going to be online. On the other hand, at least they've got each other to bounce ideas off if they stay up there - and, of course, Dom and Mariam wouldn't want to be separated.
It all still seems very surreal. Nobody we know has contracted COVID-19 and even the statistics aren't climbing at the rate that we've been warned to expect. So, for us, having all the church services cancelled and having to segregate our family and friends still feel quite bizarre and it's hard to believe that it's all necessary. If it weren't for Crystal telling us about how busy they've been in the hospital and what preparations they've been making for an influx of patients into the ICU it would all feel like some sort of mad game!
