It was good to see Paul and Karen again. Paul, as promised, brought some notes on the investigation into Christopher Wellesley's death, back in May. I must say, the evidence against his wife is quite convincing. I can quite understand why the CPS should have decided to charge her with murder and why her lawyers are trying to persuade her to plead guilty to manslaughter. However, she's insisting that she wasn't there when it happened, and Peter has promised to try to find out who really stabbed him. The one thing that everyone seems to agree on is that Christopher was a nasty piece of work and his death will make the world a pleasanter place for all around him.
Interestingly, Christopher's sister, Paula, is a don at Lichfield College. I'm going to get Martin to introduce us tomorrow.
Lucy rang this evening. She seems to be enjoying herself up there. She went to Mass with Dominic this morning, but she says the's promised that they can go to the local Methodist church next week. She's determined to continue to have a foot in both camps!
