We've been away for the last 10 days, which is why I haven't been blogging. We went up to Liverpool to visit Cousin Joey, Aunty Dot and the others, and to help with preparing the house that Lucy will be renting with Dominic, Ibrahim and Mariam. Technically, Dom and Ibrahim are renting the property and subletting rooms to Lucy and Mariam. It works out easier that way, becasue they both have jobs and Ibrahim has rented before, so he's got a good reference from his previous landlord. Unlike most student rentals, the house is unfurnished, which is where we come in! We've been helping to fit carpets and put up curtains and assemble flat-pack furniture.
It's hard to believe that in five weeks' time we'll be taking Lucy back up there for good (or at least until Christmas!)
