Ingredients
- 2 cups kidney beans, drained
- 1 lb ground beef (or tofu substitute)
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 small can of tomato sauce
- 2 cups tomato juice
- 1 tsp salt
- ⅛ tsp paprika
- 3 whole cloves
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 tsp chili powder
To Prepare
- Sauté the beef, green bell pepper, and onion until the meat is browned and the onions are translucent
- Add the tomato sauce, tomato juice, salt, paprika, cloves, bay leaf, and chili powder
- Simmer for two hours
- Add the kidney beans and simmer until thoroughly heated
