Ingredients

    • 2 cups kidney beans, drained
    • 1 lb ground beef (or tofu substitute)
    • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
    • 1 medium onion, chopped
    • 1 small can of tomato sauce
    • 2 cups tomato juice
    • 1 tsp salt
    • ⅛ tsp paprika
    • 3 whole cloves
    • 1 bay leaf
    • 1 tsp chili powder

To Prepare

    1. Sauté the beef, green bell pepper, and onion until the meat is browned and the onions are translucent
    2. Add the tomato sauce, tomato juice, salt, paprika, cloves, bay leaf, and chili powder
    3. Simmer for two hours
    4. Add the kidney beans and simmer until thoroughly heated
