Ingredients
- 1½ lbs ground round
- ½ cup onion
- ⅛ tsp garlic powder
- 8 oz tomato sauce
- 1½ cups water
- 1½ tsp salt
- ⅛ tsp pepper
- ½ tsp oregano
- 6 oz lasagna noodles (8 noodles)
- 8 oz cottage cheese
- ½ lb mild cheddar, shredded
- ½ lb mozzarella, shredded
- Grated Parmesan cheese (for garnish)
To Prepare
- Sauté the beef and onion with the garlic powder until the beef is browned and the onions are translucent
- Add the tomato sauce, water, salt, pepper, and oregano
- Simmer 30 minutes until slightly thickened
- Cook the lasagna noodles in boiling, salted water for 15 minutes, drain
- In a greased 13x9 pan, layer the noodles, cottage cheese, cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, and the meat sauce
- Repeat layers until you are out of ingredients, then top with Parmesan cheese
- Bake at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 minutes
Recipe is also freezable. If frozen, bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 2 hours.
