Eggy in a Basket

Ingredients

• 4 slices bread
• 4 eggs
  • butter
  • salt and pepper

To Prepare

1. Preheat a griddle or frying pan to medium
2. Butter bread slices on both sides
3. Use a cookie cutter or glass to cut a 2-inch circle in the middle of each slice
4. Place buttered bread slices on pan
5. Add a bit of butter to the center of the bread, and gently crack your eggs into the hole
6. Sprinkle eggs with salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
7. Finish cooking eggs as you prefer (sunny side up, over easy, or over medium)
8. Grill the bread rounds separately
