Dry Ingredients
- 1¾ cups flour
- ¾ tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- ¾ cup sugar
- 1¼ tsp cream of tartar
You can substitute the baking soda and cream of tartar with 2 tsp baking powder. Chocolate chips and nuts are nice mix-ins.
Wet Ingredients
- 2 eggs, beaten
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
To Prepare
- Mix wet ingredients and dry ingredients separately
- In a large bowl, pour wet ingredients into dry and mix
- Pour batter into a greased 9x5x3 inch loaf pan
- Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes (or until a wooden toothpick inserted in center comes out clean)
- Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove the loaf from the pan and let it cool on wire rack
