Ingredients
- 6 slices bread
- 6 eggs, beaten
- 2 cups half and half
- 1 lb bulk pork sausage
- 1 tsp salt
- 1½ cup shredded cheese
- butter
To Prepare
- Remove crusts from bread
- Spread bread with butter
- Place bread in greased 13x9 dish, set aside
- Pan-fry sausage until browned and crumbled, drain well
- Spoon sausage over bread slices, sprinkle with cheese
- Combine eggs, half and half, and salt, then pour over cheese
- Cover and refrigerate over night
- Remove from frig 15 minutes before baking
- Bake uncovered for 45 minutes @ 350 degrees
