Ingredients
- 1 onion, minced
- 6 cloves garlic
- 1lb ground beef
- 56 oz canned diced tomatoes
- ¼ tsp dried oregano
- ¼ tsp dried thyme
- ¼ tsp dried cumin
- ½ tsp dried red pepper flakes
- salt and pepper to taste
To Prepare
- In a large pot, sauté the beef with the cumin until brown; set aside
- In the same pot, use the beef fat to sauté the onion and garlic (until the onions are translucent)
- Add tomatoes and other seasonings
- Simmer for at least 15 minutes
Feel free to add other vegetables (mushrooms, eggplant, etc) as well!
